Assam: 1 held for duping job aspirants in Jorhat,4

A fraudster has been arrested by Police from Assam's Jorhat district for allegedly duping candidates in the pretext of giving jobs.

The arrested fraudster identified as Ranjan Bhuyan is a resident of Tezpur in Sonitpur district.

According to reports, Bhuyan sought money from applicants in exchange for jobs in the armed force.

He belonged to a large racket of fraudsters who allegedly have been defrauding young people for a very long time by promising them jobs.

According to reports, the fraudsters camped out at the Loknath Vivah Bhawan in Jorhat.

They specifically targeted applicants who had arrived to the MES army camp for an interview.

Four further suspects are currently absconding.
