Assam: 1,050 Kg Burmese Supari Seized At Lumding, 1 arrested

Guwahati: Security forces seized 70 sacks of illegal Burmese supari and arrested one person in this connection from Assam’s Hojai district on Wednesday.

According to sources, the truck was en route to Jamunamukh from Hailakandi.

The arrested man was identified as Kalim Uddin, the driver of the truck.

On Tuesday also Assam police seized 78 sacks of Burmese supari at Lanka near Bamungaon. At least four persons were arrested in connection to the seizure.
