In a tragic incident, an elderly man died today after being hit by a speeding train near Boko in Assam's Kamrup district.

The incident took place near Baghorgaon.

The deceased has been identified as Baloram Kaivart.

It is suspected that he was hit by a train while crossing the railway tracks.

Following the incident, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

It may be mentioned that earlier, last month, a husband and wife were killed after they were hit by a speeding train in Khetri, Kamrup district of Assam.

The Kolong-Kopili Express, which was heading towards western Assam, collided with the duo at Khetri's Ulubam.
