The northeastern region of India is likely to witness heavy rains in the upcoming days until September 23, 2022.

The rains this week are likely brought on by a low-pressure system along the coast of Odisha over the Bay of Bengal and its interaction with the predominate monsoon trough, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Till September 23, Assam and Meghalaya are expected to have widespread light to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning due to their impact.

In Arunachal Pradesh, from today to 23 September, while over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, till 23.

Heavy showers (64.5 mm-115.5 mm) may also lash these states locally throughout this forecast timeframe, according to the Weather Channel.

All Northeastern states have maintained a rain-deficit rating throughout the month, even though September began with rain and continued to feel rather moist throughout this month.
