Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a 90-year-old woman was killed by her 32-year-old grandson over a family dispute in Tripura’s Dhalai district.
The incident took place at the Bhangamura area under the Chailengta police station of the district.
According to sources, the accused identified as Samir Sarkar beat his grandmother to death with a wooden club in a fit of rage.
The sources further added that the accused before leaving the house assaulted other members of the family.
Meanwhile, a complaint was lodged at the Chailengta police station and the accused was arrested within 12 hours.
