Nagaland: Missing IRB jawan found dead after a week

A jawan of the Nagaland Police Indian Reserve Battalion, who had been reported missing since September 17, was found dead almost after a week on Saturday.

The deceased jawan has been identified as 28-year-old Yanponthung N Tungoe, a resident of Old Riphyim in the Wokha district.

Yanponthung N Tungoe's body was found at Hovishe village in Niuland district.

N Tungoe was posted at Niuland town.

As per reports, a case of unnatural death has been filed, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
