Assam: Miniature gold boat seized near Guwahati’s Janata Bhawan; 1 held

Guwahati: Dispur police seized gold in a boat shape from near Janata Bhawan in Guwahati, Assam on Sunday.

One person was arrested in this connection and has been identified as Shyam Kumar, a resident of Bihar.

Based on specific information, city police launched a search operation and as a result, seized a gold boat from Kumar’s possession.

As per sources, Kumar was staying in a rented house in the Beltola area.

Further investigation is underway.
