Assam: Three killed after speeding car rams into parked truck in Sonapur

Guwahati: In a tragic incident, three people lost their lives in a major road accident in Assam’s Kamrup Metro district on Thursday night.

The accident occurred at Nazirakhat in the Sonapur area, outskirts of Guwahati when a speeding vehicle crashed into a truck parked along NH-37.

As per officials, a speeding car was heading towards Guwahati when it hit a parked truck on the NH-37.

As per the source, the vehicle was traveling from Nagaon to Guwahati carrying three persons.

Following the incident, all three passengers died on the spot.

The deceased persons have been identified as Babon Haloi, Gautam Banik, and Subul Das. While Babon Haloi and Gautam Banik hailed from Guwahati, Subul Das was a resident of Nagaon.

Local police reached the scene and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
