Assam: Bus with 50 passengers falls into deep gorge in Dhubri, 25 injured

Guwahati: A bus carrying around 50 passengers fell into a deep gorge on Wednesday in Assam’s Dhubri district.

As many as 25 people were grievously injured in a tragic bus accident.

The incident took place at Golakganj, near the Gorerhat area.

As per sources, the bus was heading to Dhubri from Cooch Behar when it suddenly swerved off the road due to an oncoming bike and fell into the gorge.

The injured were immediately taken to a Halakura hospital in Dhubri for medical attention.

Meanwhile, local police reached the scene and recovered the bus from the gorge.
