Assam: 1 held with Drugs worth Rs 1 Cr in Guwahati

Guwahati Police today arrested a drug smuggler and seized drugs worth Rs 1 crore from Hatigaon area Tuesday.

Acting on specific information, police officials conducted an anti-narcotics operation at the Sijubari locality at Hatigaon.

A huge quantity of drugs was seized during the operation.

Besides, a vehicle was seized by the police.

The arrested drug smuggler has been identified as Ritumoni Pator.

Officials informed that the seizure is estimated to be worth around Rs 1 crore in the international markets.

An investigation into the matter has been initiated, and the suspect has been taken in for further interrogation.
