Tripura: 3 including woman arrested for gang-rape in Unakoti

Three persons have been arrested on allegations of gang-raping a minor girl in Tripura's Unakoti.

According to reports, the incident happened on October 19 in the Kamarghar area.

One of the three accused is a female. However, a few more accused are said to be absconding.

As per reports, the CPI(M) and Congress have urged stern actions against the accused following the arrest and say that a state minister's son is also engaged in the matter.

The BJP, on the other hand, has denied the opposition's claims.
According to the victim's mother's police complaint, a woman called her daughter and took her to a nearby three-story building.

She was then gang-raped on that site.

An investigation into the matter is underway.
