Guwahati: At least nine shops were gutted after a massive fire broke out at the Jagiroad in Assam’s Morigaon district on Wednesday.
As many as three-cylinder explosions were reported as a result of the fire. Properties worth several lakh rupees were gutted in the fire.
However, there is no reports of any casualties so far.
Meanwhile, a total of six fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot and were able to bring the flames under control after a prolonged struggle.
The cause of the incident has yet to be ascertained.
