New Delhi: Climate change has had a direct impact on Antarctica. Recent research has found that sea ice in Antarctica has decreased significantly for the second year in a row.

According to statistics provided to AFP by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), the volume of the sea surface ice covered with snow around the continent of Antarctica has decreased to 2.09 million square kilometers.
