Munin Borkotoky Literary Award 2023 to Nayanjyoti Sharma's 'Jaal Kota Jui'

Guwahati: In the memory of the litterateur, critic and journalist late Munin Barkotoki , the annual 'Munin Borkotoky Literary Award , 2023, which is being given on behalf of the Munin Borkotoky Memorial Trust to encourage talented young writers of The Assamese language, was announced on November 6.

The 29th Munin Borkotoky Literary Award for the year 2023 has been presented to Nayanjyoti Sharma, a promising young story writer of Assamese literature, for his collection of short stories titled 'Jaal Kata Jui'. This was disclosed by Meenakshi Barkotoki, managing trustee of the trust.It may be recalled that the award, which has been given since 1995 to encourage Assamese writers , carries a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, a memento and a citation.
