Diarrhea Prevention Campaign launched at Daloi Tola
Guwahati: As part of the diarrhea prevention campaign organized by the Health Department of the Government of Assam, an awareness meeting was held on Thursday at Daloi Tola Primary School under Hajo Block Primary Health Centre in Kamrup district, presided over by Dr. Gauranga Das. In the meeting, Dr. Ajit Das, Joint Health Director of Kamrup district, said in his speech that our health is in our own hands. If we remain a little vigilant and follow the advice of doctors, we can protect our health. Hajo Subdivision Health and Medical Officer Dr. Gauranga Das explained in detail how diarrhea can be prevented and stated that one should not attempt self-treatment or act as their own doctor in case of any health problem. According to the program, the ‘ORS Corner’ was inaugurated by Sabina Yasmin, President of Shaniyadi Gram Panchayat. The meeting was attended by BPM Madhuchanda Bora, Panchayat representatives, District Education Officer Inamul Majid, DPM Smita Saikia, DME Nilakshi Medhi, DCM Pranab Sharma, along with several medical officers, health workers, staff members, ASHA supervisors, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, and hundreds of other people. The welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Hrishikesh Lahkar, and the meeting was conducted by Ranjit Kumar Mahanta. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Gauranga Das expressed gratitude to everyone and announced the conclusion of the meeting with a brief speech. At the end of the meeting, ‘ORS’ was distributed among the students.
