Union Minister Sonowal inspects upgraded Haibargaon Rly. Stn.
Nagaon: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the Haibargaon railway station in Nagaon district today. The station was recently inaugurated as an Amrit Bharat Station by the Prime Minister. During his visit, Sonowal interacted with local residents and reviewed the facilities available at the station. When asked about his return to state politics, Sonowal said to the local media here that he is ready to take on all responsibilities if the party bestows on him. The visit has sparked speculation about Sonowal's potential return to state politics. As a prominent leader, Sonowal's moves are being closely watched by political observers and supporters alike. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the Haibargaon railway station in Nagaon district has been upgraded at a cost of approximately Rs 15.85 crore. The station was inspected today by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. During the inspection, the Minister reviewed the various facilities available at the station, including a convenient and improved parking facility for vehicles, a spacious and well-maintained circulation area, high-quality waiting rooms for passenger comfort, clean and modern toilets and urinals, modern artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled CCTV cameras for passenger safety, etc. During his inspection of the railway station, the Union Minister was accompanied by Commissioner, Debashish Sarma, Superintendent of Police Swapnanil Deka, Divisional Railway Manager Samir Lohani, and other officials.
