Mumbai: It’s a proud family moment for the Devgns as Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn and his son Yug Devgan come together for their first-ever project: the Hindi dubbed version of Karate Kid: Legends. The father-son duo launched the trailer recently, marking Yug’s debut in the world of voice acting and Ajay’s first time lending his voice to an international film. Ajay has voiced the beloved character Mr. Han, originally portrayed by Jackie Chan, while his son Yug brings to life the young protagonist Li Fong (played by Ben Wang). The collaboration not only breaks new ground professionally for Ajay but also showcases a touching parallel between real-life and reel-life dynamics — with the film centering on the bond between a mentor and his protégé, echoing the father-son relationship. Proud mom Kajol took to Instagram to celebrate her son’s milestone, sharing a heartfelt video clip and writing, “Too too proud of my baby! Just wanna scream ‘MINE MINE MINE.’” Fans flooded the comments with admiration and support. One user gushed, “Yug truly stole my heart! He’s so adorable and looks so much like his mom. Kajol, please tell him to become an actor someday — we’d love to see him on screen.” Another chimed in, “Kajol, you are very lucky — your son and husband both smart guys!” Set in the vibrant streets of New York City, Karate Kid: Legends follows Li Fong, a kung fu prodigy navigating a new school, budding friendships, and challenges against a local karate champ. With guidance from Mr. Han and the iconic Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio), Li’s journey is one of transformation, courage, and life-defining lessons. The film is set for a grand release on May 30, 2025, in multiple languages — English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu — and is already creating buzz for its high-energy action, nostalgic throwbacks, and star-studded voice cast. Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn was recently seen in Raid 2, alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor. Despite mixed-to-positive reviews, the film has been a box office success, crossing Rs 125 crore in India within 12 days of its May 1 release. As Karate Kid: Legends gears up for its theatrical debut, all eyes will be on Yug Devgan, the newest — and youngest — talent from the Devgn family to step into the spotlight.
