Itanagar: Oil India Limited and the Centre for Earth Sciences and Himalayan Studies (CES&HS) have extended heartfelt gratitude to the people of Keyi Panyor, Arunachal Pradesh, for their strong support in facilitating a vital mineral exploration initiative. The exploration survey, set to begin in the Phop Block, will focus on identifying critical minerals such as Vanadium and Graphite, both essential for strengthening India's defence and national security sectors. CES&HS Director Tana Tage, representing the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, thanked the District Administration, including Deputy Commissioner IAS Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta and SP IPS Angad Mehta, for their crucial role in securing the No Objection Certificate (NOC) required for the project. He also expressed appreciation for the Gaon Buras, Panchayat leaders, youth associations, senior citizens, and the people of Seer, Pith, and Phop villages for their active involvement. “This initiative has been made possible by the united efforts of local communities and leaders,” said Tage, emphasizing that the exploration holds promise not only for national interests but also for local development. The project is expected to stimulate the regional economy by creating job opportunities, encouraging local entrepreneurship, and improving infrastructure in education, health, and sports. The collaboration marks a significant step toward harnessing Arunachal Pradesh’s mineral wealth while ensuring inclusive growth and strategic national advancement.
