9th Executive Meeting of Sadau Asom Sambadik Manch Held in Guwahati

Guwahati/Dhubri: The Central Committee of the Sadau Asom Sambadik Manch held its 9th Executive Meeting and an award distribution ceremony on Sunday at the conference hall of Radiant Yuvak Sangha, Hatigaon. The event was presided over by Central Committee President Selim Sheikh and witnessed the presence of eminent journalists and dignitaries from across the state. Distinguished senior journalists Netrajeet Bora, Kiran Talukdar, Nabajyoti Kalita, Mozammel Haque, Rintu Kurmi, and Dispur Press Club Vice-President Mintu Hazarika graced the occasion. In recognition of outstanding contributions to journalism, Samiran Barthakur of Pratidin Time and Nazir Ahmed of NKTV were conferred the Young Journalist Award. Additionally, Dr. Muchkura Ahmed, senior physician at Dhubri Medical College, along with social workers Raju Kumar Pator, Sudhanya Kumar Senapati, Saiful Islam, Kashem Ali Sheikh, and Samsher Ali, were also honoured for their dedicated service. Special felicitation letters were presented to talented singer Nabajit Kalita, noted writer Mousumi Ghorchowa, Koch Rajbongshi singer Prabir Kumar Sarkar, and retired teacher Jagadish Chandra Roy, among others. In total, 14 individuals were recognized for their contributions across various fields. A significant announcement from the meeting was the appointment of Suraj Kumar Mahato of DY365 as the Chief Organizing Secretary of the Central Committee.
