Bajali Agro FPC inaugurates New Office & Sales Centre

Bajali: In a significant step towards empowering small and marginal farmers in Assam, Bajali Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited, officially inaugurated its new office, Purchase & Sales centre, Agri Input shop, and Store room in Jalikhata, Bajali district on June 12. Established on July 19, 2021, this FPC has emerged as a vital institution supporting the agricultural community in the region. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of Ankita Madhulalya, District Development Manager, NABARD, along with Hrishikesh Ray, Project Coordinator and other representatives from Access Development Services, progressive farmers, and over 100 farmer-shareholders of the FPC. With a vision to enhance rural livelihoods, the newly inaugurated facility is expected to play a crucial role in providing farmers with better access to inputs, streamlined aggregation, market linkages, and storage solutions. The infrastructure will also serve as a hub for farmer interaction, knowledge sharing, and capacity building. Bajali Agro FPC currently boasts a membership of more than 500 shareholders, functioning under the CSS 10000 FPO Program, an initiative of the Government of India. The NABARD Assam Regional Office is the Implementing Agency, while Access Development Services serves as the Cluster-Based Business Organisation (CBBO). Speaking at the event, DDM NABARD, Ankita Madhulalya, highlighted the importance of institutional partnerships in promoting sustainable agricultural development and ensuring farmers receive timely and affordable support. She praised the efforts of the FPC and the CBBO team in operationalising the centre, which will directly benefit farmers at the grassroots level.
