Bishnu Rabha Divas observed at Panigaon OPD College

North Lakhimpur: Under the ageis of cultural affairs department, Panigaon OPD College, North Lakhimpur and in association with Lakhimpur district administration, the Bishnu Rabha Divas was observed at the college premises on June 20. The programme of the Divas was started with the lighting of lamp and welcome address by the Principal of the college Dr. Suresh Dutta. Assistant Professor of the Department of Assamese of the college Dr. Rakhi Deudhai Phukan delivered a brief lecture on the life and personality of Bishnu Prasad Rabha. Several students of H.S. streams of the college performed Rabha Sangeet and dances. On the other hand, a delegate from Lakhimpur district administration enchanted all by performing a Bishnu Rabha Sangeet. Moreover, two Assistant Professors of the college Dr. Rosemin Akhtara and Chayanika Barman performed songs. The event, anchored by the Assistant Professor of the Department of English of the college Manash Pratim Khanikar, became successful by the presence of professors, employees and students of the college.
