Book released in Borpam

Biswanath Chariali: Samayar Sandat Jibanar Sur, a collection of Assamese essays compiled by Nripen Bordoloi, director of Assam Adarsha Vidyalaya, Borpam on the northern part of Sootea was released at a function held in the conference hall of the school on Saturday by Pratul Bhuyan. Assam Adarsha Vidyalaya, Borpam had observed the Rabha Divas with a two-day programme. The open and book release session was held today with Prasanna Bora, retired principal of Siporiya HSS in the chair. Retired professor Rana Prasad Hazarika and Birinchi Bordoloi graced the occasion as chief guests. Releasing the book, Pratul Bhuyan, a retired senior police officer briefly said about the book. The meeting was attended by senior journalist Amitav Barua, Pradip Barua, Prabin Barkataky, Lakhi Kanta Saikia, Tarun Saikia, Sobheswar Bhuyan among others. All the proceedings of the book release programme were conducted by Ripunjoy Bordoloi in association with Barnali Kurmi and Purnima Barmudoi.
