DLAMC Reviews Aadhaar Verification, Pending Applications in Cachar

Silchar: The Cachar District Administration convened the fortnightly meeting of the District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) under the chairmanship of Shri Hemanga Nobis, ACS, Additional District Commissioner, Cachar. The meeting reviewed in detail the status of Aadhaar packet verification on the State Government portal and the disposal of pending applications. ADC Shri Nobis emphasised the urgent need to clear the backlog of applications and directed all Circle Officers to strictly adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) prescribed by the Government to ensure timely and error-free service delivery. During the meeting, the Additional District Commissioner underscored the importance of streamlining the verification process as part of the administration’s commitment to efficient and citizen-friendly governance. He instructed the concerned officers to identify bottlenecks and resolve them promptly so that pending applications are processed within stipulated timelines. The Chair also requested all stakeholders to adhere to specified norms and sought the police administration’s cooperation in providing all possible assistance to the district administration for seamless Aadhaar verification of the citizens of Cachar. The meeting was attended by key officials of the district, including Shri Hemen Das, APS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ), Circle Officers of Silchar (Sadar), Udharbond, Lakhipur, and Sonai revenue circles, and other officials of the Cachar District Administration. The District Administration reaffirmed its resolve to provide seamless Aadhaar services to the public, ensuring that all citizens can access benefits and entitlements linked to Aadhaar without unnecessary delay.
