Indian Army & AIF launch 15-day youth pre-recruitment training

Tezpur: The Indian Army's 27 Rajput in collaboration with Aadhunik India Foundation, successfully conducted a 15-day pre-recruitment training program for eligible youths from Udalguri, Sonitpur, and Biswanath districts in Assam. Held at the Amaribari Army Camp from May 26 to June 8, 2025, the program aimed to educate youths about opportunities and recruitment processes within the Agniveer. During the training, participants underwent physical fitness training, including 5-kilometer runs, yoga, and exercises to enhance endurance. They were also prepared for written examinations covering mathematics, science, general knowledge, and English, with mock tests conducted to assess their progress. The comprehensive recruitment process was explained in detail, and special meals were provided for all participants. The concluding ceremony saw participation from Army officials, Aadhunik India Foundation members, and the trainees. Guest of Honor Maj Karanjeet Singh appreciated the initiative, highlighting its role in fostering employment opportunities for youth in the Indian Army as Agniveers and encouraging them to explore sports careers in the Army. Chief Guest Lt. Col Vikas Kumar emphasized the training's significance in empowering local youths, urging regular practice for examination preparation to achieve their goal of joining the Indian Army. Aadhunik India Foundation National President, D.K. Chauhan, expressed gratitude to the Indian Army and hoped for continued support. He noted that this initiative marked the beginning of such training programs in the region, significantly aiding youth in securing employment opportunities. Certificates were jointly provided to the 43 aspirants from tea gardens and Adivasi communities who participated in the training. The Indian Army's 27 Rajput Regiment training team was felicitated by Aadhunik India Foundation for their efforts.
