Landslide in Seijosa: Administration Springs into Action

Biswanath Chariali: A landslide occurred recently in Golleso, Seijosa, blocking traffic on the road from Upper Seijosa to Golleso. However, under the guidance of local MLA and State Minister for Health, Family Welfare, and Water Resources, Biyuram Wahge, the administration swung into action to clear the road and restore traffic. District Commissioner Beni Lego and ADC Kesang Wangda led the efforts to clear the road, and by morning, the road was cleared and made passable. The administration also worked to clear landslides from various other affected areas throughout the day. The Minister visited the site, accompanied by the District Commissioner, ADC, and engineers from PWD and RWD, to assess the situation. He also visited the local government higher secondary school, where he assured that the school's problems will be resolved soon. The Minister inspected ongoing construction projects, including a guest house, a bridge over the Pakke River, and staff quarters for various departments. He directed the concerned departments to complete the projects as soon as possible. The administration's prompt action in response to the landslide also highlights their dedication to maintaining infrastructure and providing essential services to the community.
