Mera Yuva Bharat celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas at Nagaon

Nagaon: Mera Yuva Bharat, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, Nagaon, celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas at Radiant Academy, Dimaruguri, outskirts of Nagaon town on Saturday. The event was organized in collaboration with Rico Global Education and Research Foundation, a registered institution of the Government of India. The program began with a tree plantation ceremony by Dr Hareswar Saikia, International Secretary General of the International Human Rights Ambassador Organization. In his inaugural address, Saikia paid tribute to the brave soldiers who fought in the Kargil war. The event included a quiz competition for students, tree plantation, a felicitation ceremony for a former soldier, a patriotic dance performance, and a discussion session. A special felicitation was given to Kamaleswar Bora, a former Senior Commissioned Officer of the Indian Army. Niva Kumari Borah, Principal of Radiant Academy, Nagaon, explained the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas during the discussion session. The event was attended by over 100 students and youth, and a patriotic group dance performance moved the audience.
