National Lok Adalat to be held on June 14 in Barpeta

Barpeta: The Barpeta district in Assam will host the 2nd Lok Adalat of the year on June 14 next. Organized under the directives of the National Legal Services Authority and Assam State Legal Services Authority, this event aims to expedite pending cases and provide efficient dispute resolution. The District Legal Services Authority, Barpeta, will conduct the Lok Adalat at multiple venues, including the premises of the Barpeta District & Sessions Judge Court, the Family Court, the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Barpeta, and courts and offices under the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Barpeta. The Lok Adalat will address various cases, including those related to outstanding loans, and resolve grievances concerning electricity and telephone service bills from BSNL, APDCL, and banks. The District Legal Services Authority has appealed the public to actively participate in the Lok Adalat to help make the event successful.
