NCC Rank Ceremony Organised at BHB College

Bajali: The 7 Assam and 60 Assam Girls Battalion NCC units of BHB College, Sarupeta, jointly organised a Rank Ceremony recently at the college campus with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The event was graced by the Principal of BHB College, Dr. Nayan Jyoti Das, as the Chief Guest. In his address, Dr. Das congratulated the rank holders and lauded the role of NCC in nation-building. He urged the cadets to pursue careers in the defence services and continue serving the nation with pride and commitment. Former CTOs of the college were also invited to witness the ceremony and encourage the cadets. ANO Biswajit Deka, in his motivational speech, advised the cadets to uphold discipline and dedication, while CTO of 60 Assam Girls Battalion, Hiranmayee Kalita, inspired them to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.

During the ceremony, various ranks were conferred to deserving cadets:

Senior Under Officer (SUO) – Sabdam Hussain,

Under Officer (UO) – Bitupan Sarma,

Sergeant – Satyajit Nath,

Corporal – Debarshi Kalita and Gereshma Baro,

Lance Corporal – Dhiraj Baro and Rasmin Khanam.

Cadet Dharitri Gayari of 1st year conducted the proceedings of the event with confidence and composure. The programme concluded with the singing of the NCC song, instilling a sense of pride and unity among all present. The event was smoothly coordinated by ANO Biswajit Deka and CTO Hiranmayee Kalita, with the presence of faculty members and a large number of cadets adding to the significance of the occasion.
