Dhubri: In response to the recent tense incidents in Dhubri, the Assam Police has taken a major decision. A notification has been issued for the transfer of over 50 Sub-Inspectors (SI), Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI), and constables from various police stations in Dhubri district. These officers have been transferred to different districts across Assam. DGP Harmeet Singh, Director General of Assam Police, arrived in Dhubri on a two-day visit and is thoroughly monitoring the law and order situation. He is reviewing every aspect of police operations in the district. Currently, the law and order situation in Dhubri is fully under the control of the district administration. No untoward incident has been reported so far. Under the leadership of newly appointed Senior Superintendent of Police Leena Doley, operations are being conducted across the district. Dhubri Police has taken a strict stance against criminals and is determined not to let anyone disturb the peace in the district. Day and night patrolling is being carried out by the RAF, Indian Army personnel, CRPF, APBN, and Assam Police. Police have been deployed at every location to ensure security and maintain peace.
