Tractor Mishap in Gardenpur Claims One Life, Another Injured

Gosaingaon: A tragic accident in Gardenpur village under Gosaingaon subdivision claimed the life of a tractor driver and left another individual critically injured on Monday evening. The incident occurred when a tractor heading to a nearby field for ploughing reportedly lost control and slipped into an irrigation canal. The driver, Robiram Najari, was crushed under the overturned vehicle and died on the spot. Shalpati Raja Basumatari, who was riding along with him, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he remains under critical care. Local residents quickly gathered at the site and helped in rescue efforts before authorities arrived. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary findings suggest that slippery ground near the canal may have caused the tractor to lose balance. The sudden loss has cast a pall over the local community, with villagers mourning the death of Robiram Najari, a known local farmer.
