Workshop on Satriya culture begins at Nagsankar

Biswanath Chariali: A five-day special summer workshop on Satriya Sangeet organized by Assam Satra Mahasabha Pariksha Parishad in collaboration with Agnigarh Nat Ghar, a premier socio-cultural and literary organization of the greater Nagsankar area began today at the office premises of Agnigarh Nat Ghar. The workshop was formally inaugurated by Lochan Bora, president of Agnigarh Nat Ghar and an eminent bhaona artiste. Nijumani Gohain graced the occasion as an expert and resource person. A total of fifty students participated in the workshop. The inaugural session was addressed by Nijumani Gohain, Ritumani Bora. Pallab Hazarika offered a vote of thanks while Sharat Kumar Bora, secretary of Agnigarh Nat Ghar conducted the proceedings. Notably, the workshop will continue till July 12, informed Lochan Bora.
