Dalmia Cement’s Lanka Unit Wins Platinum

New Delhi: Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), a subsidiary of Dalmia Bharat Limited, one of India’s largest cement manufacturers, has been awarded the prestigious Platinum Award for its Assam Unit’s Lanka Line-2 Project under the ‘Best Construction Projects’ category at the ISDA Infracon National Awards (IINA) 2025 held in New Delhi. The project was recognized for its excellence in execution, achieving zero harm, single-circuit seamless commissioning via DCS, strict safety compliance, and successful handling of the heaviest single lift of the clinker dome weighing 170 MT. The award was presented by Harsh Malhotra, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Corporate Affairs & Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India; Sunil Sharma, IT Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Brigadier Raman Kumar, BRO; and Subha Kalyan, IAS, Deputy District Magistrate, Government of Karnataka. Senior representatives from the Lanka project team, along with members of the project team, accepted the award on behalf of Dalmia Cement. Organized by the Infrastructure Skill Development Academy (ISDA), the ISDA Infracon Awards celebrate outstanding infrastructure projects that demonstrate excellence in planning, timely delivery, quality, and positive regional impact. Dalmia Cement has a strong presence in the North-East with three manufacturing units in Assam and one in Meghalaya. The company has contributed to several landmark infrastructure projects in the region, including the Dhola-Sadiya Bridge, Sela Tunnel and Dhubri-Phulbari Bridge, reinforcing its long-term commitment to regional growth and connectivity.
