Production of 'Welcome To The Jungle' Stalls Amid Financial Turmoil

Mumbai: The much-awaited comedy sequel Welcome To The Jungle, the third instalment in the popular Welcome franchise, has hit a major roadblock as production comes to a standstill due to severe financial difficulties. Initially slated to begin filming in December 2023, the project has faced multiple postponements, with the last major shoot concluding in August 2023. Since then, no further filming has taken place, raising serious questions about the film’s future. Sources close to the production reveal that the core issue stems from non-payment of dues to actors and crew, resulting in the cancellation of several shooting schedules over the past six months. “Around two to three schedules have been called off at the last minute due to logistical and financial problems. This has left the actors and their teams confused and frustrated,” a source shared. Despite the setbacks, many actors remain committed to the project, adjusting their dates out of loyalty to the beloved franchise. However, some original cast members have reportedly exited the film, including veteran actor Sanjay Dutt, who is said to have walked away due to ongoing script changes and repeated delays. The film, which features a star-studded cast including Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, and Paresh Rawal, was originally scheduled for a December 2024 release. With the production at a standstill and no clear resolution in sight, that timeline now appears uncertain. The producers, including Firoz Nadiadwala, have yet to issue an official statement addressing the mounting concerns. Meanwhile, fans and industry insiders alike remain anxious about whether Welcome To The Jungle will overcome its financial hurdles and make it to the big screen.
