KIIT Secures 5th Spot in India in Times HEI Rankings 2025

Bhubaneswar: Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has once again made the state and the country proud by securing the fifth position among Indian universities in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025. Known for evaluating universities worldwide based on their social and developmental impact, the THE Impact Rankings have recognized KIIT's consistent progress and commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the 2025 edition, KIIT Deemed to be University earned national recognition in several categories. It secured the top position in India for its efforts to reduce inequalities and promote peace, justice, and strong institutions. The university also stood third in the country for its initiatives in ensuring quality education. Globally, KIIT was placed in the 101 cohort among over 2,400 universities from 130 countries that took part in the rankings this year. The rankings are based on a comprehensive evaluation of how universities contribute to sustainable development, social equity, and institutional transparency. KIIT has been a regular participant in this ranking system and has shown steady progress over the years, reflecting its expanding role in global higher education. Reacting to the recognition, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, expressed immense pride and satisfaction.
