Bengaluru :Bengaluru is set to host a landmark moment in Indian athletics with the debut of the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025, the nation’s first international javelin competition, to be held at the iconic Sree Kanteerava Stadium. The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) has officially sanctioned the one-day event, which promises a world-class experience for fans and athletes alike.Top-tier javelin throwers from across the globe, including two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra, Thomas Rohler, and Anderson Peters, are confirmed to compete. The event is co-organised by Neeraj Chopra and JSW Sports, highlighting India’s growing ambition in the global athletics scene.Tickets are now available via District by Zomato, the official ticketing partner. Prices range from an affordable ₹199 to ₹9,999, catering to a broad range of fans. For those seeking a premium experience, five corporate boxes accommodating 15 guests each are available at ₹44,999. Additionally, Visa Credit Card users are eligible for a 10% discount on their ticket purchase.To bring fans closer to the action, a dedicated stand has been erected next to the thrower’s runway, with tickets priced at ₹9,999. Another special seating area in the North Upper Stand, situated directly behind the runway, is available for ₹2,999. These zones are designed to provide an unmatched viewing experience of the javelin throws.Karan Yadav, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW Sports, emphasized the significance of the event, calling it “a giant leap for Indian athletics.” He highlighted the effort to make the event accessible and inclusive while maintaining global standards.Supported by the Karnataka Olympic Association (KOA), the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES), and the Government of Karnataka, the event boasts a total seating capacity of over 12,000. As a World Athletics Gold Label event, the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 is poised to place India firmly on the international athletics stage.
