Arunachal Assembly Marks One Year of Leadership Under Speaker Tesam Pongte
Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (APLA) on Monday celebrated the one-year leadership milestone of Speaker Tesam Pongte and Deputy Speaker Kardo Nyigyor with a commemorative event at the Dorjee Khandu Auditorium. The occasion marked a year of significant progress and unity under their stewardship.
Addressing officers and staff, Speaker Pongte expressed heartfelt gratitude for their dedication, stating, “From top to bottom, every role strengthens our temple of democracy.” Emphasising the values of teamwork, sincerity, and discipline, he encouraged suggestions from staff to further enhance the Assembly’s functioning. Pongte also announced plans for more regular interaction programmes to promote engagement and collaboration.
Deputy Speaker Nyigyor highlighted the importance of humility, discipline, and a continuous learning approach. He called on the Assembly team to value every role and draw inspiration from all colleagues, including juniors, in preserving the institution’s dignity and efficiency.
APLA Secretary Tadar Meena congratulated both leaders, praising their effective guidance and the unwavering commitment of the Assembly staff. She urged everyone to take pride in serving the legislative body and to uphold its values of unity and responsibility.
