Itanagar: In a significant step to uplift the student community, the Arunachal Pradesh government has released a scholarship amount of ₹111.11 crore for 40,090 students for the academic year 2024–25. In an official statement, the government affirmed that the sanctioned amount would be credited directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts within the next five days, pending technical clearance through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). The move is part of a broader initiative that has so far benefited a total of 45,125 students, including 5,035 who had already received their payments in an earlier phase. However, the government clarified that scholarship payments for 2,796 students could not be processed due to discrepancies in their bank account details. Those affected have been urged to promptly coordinate with their respective banks to resolve the issues for successful credit. This disbursement aligns with the commitments made by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona during the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, reiterating the state’s focus on educational empowerment and financial assistance for its youth.
