31 Bn SSB Gossaigaon hosts youth awareness drive on CAPF careers
Gossaigaon: In a significant outreach initiative, the 31 Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Gossaigaon, organized an Exhibition-cum-Visit for school children at its headquarters in Kokrajhar, Assam. The event aimed to foster awareness among students about the roles and responsibilities of the SSB and inspire them to consider careers in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). A total of 45 students and teachers from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Gossaigaon, participated in the interactive event. Activities included a K9 dog show, a weapon exhibition, a guided tour of the battalion campus, and one-on-one interactions with SSB personnel. These experiences offered students valuable insight into the dedication and discipline required in security services. Aligned with national campaigns, the event also raised awareness on Nasha Mukti Abhiyan, promoting a drug-free lifestyle; Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, emphasizing cleanliness and hygiene; and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, encouraging girl child education and empowerment. Senior officers including Commandant Shri Amit Singh, Second-in-Command Shri Jeet Singh, and other key officials engaged with the students, sharing their experiences and motivating the youth to serve the nation through CAPFs. The initiative underscores 31 Bn SSB’s commitment to national security, while also playing a vital role in community engagement and youth empowerment.
