Assam Cultural Trust Concludes Vibrant Summer Workshop 2025

Guwahati: The Assam Cultural Trust, in collaboration with Pragjyoti Sanskritik Samaj, successfully concluded its five-day-long Summer Workshop 2025 at the Pragjyoti Cultural Complex, Machkhowa. The workshop saw the enthusiastic participation of 147 students aged between 4 and 18 years, engaging in sessions on Art and Craft, Traditional Song (Vocal), and Yoga and Meditation. The workshop was inaugurated on July 16 by renowned Assamese folk artist Srimati Jina Rajkumari, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The formal commencement was declared by Khalid Umar, Chairman of the Socio-Cultural Committee, Assam Cultural Trust. Over the course of five days, students were encouraged to explore their creative potential while being introduced to the cultural heritage of Assam. The closing ceremony witnessed a grand celebration of talent, with Shri Rahul Chandra Das, Director of Cultural Affairs, Assam, and Secretary of the Assam Cultural Trust, attending as Chief Guest. He was felicitated alongside Bolin Bordoloi, Advisor to the Socio-Cultural Committee, for their invaluable contributions to cultural development. Rahul Chandra Das, in his speech, inspired the young participants to embrace creativity and pride in their roots, stressing the role of community in preserving heritage. He distributed certificates of participation to all students. Other dignitaries, including Balendra Kumar Das and Arup Goswami, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of unity through culture. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Arup Goswami.
