BPF strengthens grassroots: 32 joins BPF ahead of BTC pool
Gossaigaon: With political momentum building ahead of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections, the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has taken a significant step toward consolidating its grassroots support in the Srirampur constituency. In a major development, 32 active and conscious residents from Serfanguri village officially joined the BPF party recently. The induction ceremony took place at the BPF Block Office in Telipara, organized by the Srirampur Block unit. The event was presided over by Muklesur Rahman, President of the Srirampur Block Committee, BPF, who is known for his commitment to social harmony and inclusive leadership that transcends caste and religious lines. In his keynote speech, Rahman reaffirmed the party’s commitment to equitable development across all communities. “The hopes and aspirations of every resident in this region are my responsibility. BPF stands for "Peace and Progress without Discrimination." That is our mission,” he said, urging the public to strengthen the party's mission with continued support. Addressing the gathering earlier, Dhruva Kumar Brahma Narzary, Treasurer of the Central Committee, BPF, and former Chairman of the Gossaigaon Town Committee, launched a scathing critique of the current BJP-UPPL coalition government. BPF is the only party that truly believes in inclusive growth. It does not discriminate based on caste or religion, he added, calling on people to place renewed trust in the party’s leadership and vision. The event culminated with the formal induction of the 32 new members from Serfanguri village, whom party leaders and grassroots workers warmly welcomed. Their entry is expected to inject new energy into the BPF’s local campaign machinery, bolstering the party's outreach efforts in the run-up to the BTC elections. Several senior party leaders attended the occasion, including Central Working Committee (CWC) member Shahana Begum, Minority Cell President Mojahid Ahmed, and Block Secretary Mujibur Rahman. Their presence underscored the strategic importance of the induction in the party’s electoral roadmap. With this latest boost, the BPF appears well-positioned to expand its influence in Srirampur, signalling a determined push for electoral success in the upcoming BTC polls.
