NCDC Regional Office marks 4th anniversary week of Ministry of Cooperation

Nagaon: In commemoration of the 4th anniversary week of the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, the Regional Office of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), organized a series of activities recently. A workshop on Ministry of Cooperation Initiatives, including presentations on NCDC schemes, assistance models, and success stories was held at the Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM). The workshop was attended by members and leaders of the cooperative sector and other stakeholders, sparking discussions on how cooperatives can play a larger role in bringing about sustainable and inclusive growth. The Regional Office also conducted a tree plantation drive in the premises of Barkhat Panbari GPSS Ltd. Sonapur, Kamrup and Dekhial GPSS Ltd, Khetri, Kamrup, Assam. NCDC officials, led by the Regional Director, leaders and members of cooperative societies took part in planting saplings in the premises of the cooperatives to promote environmental consciousness and greener Earth. Lectures on the importance of the cooperative model and NCDC’s contribution to development were delivered at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh. The session aimed at creating awareness on Cooperative Principles and Values and Cooperative Business Model among the young minds, to enable them to appreciate and engage with the cooperative sector as a means for sustainable and inclusive growth. These activities reflect NCDC’s unwavering role in furthering the objectives of the Ministry of Cooperation and fostering a deeper understanding of the Cooperative Movement among diverse sections.
