NFR Increases Silchar -Maishashan Passenger trains frequency
Guwahati: N. F. The railway has decided to increase the frequency of two pairs of passenger trains which operate between Silchar and Maishashan. These include train no. 55662/55661 & 55686/55685 (Silchar – Maishashan - Silchar) passengers whose frequency has been increased from present two days in a week to six days in a week. The decision by N. F. Railways to increase the frequency of these passenger trains will bring several key benefits to the people of this locality and its adjacent areas. The frequent service will ensure better daily or near-daily access between Silchar and Maishashan, which is especially beneficial for regular commuters, traders, students and office-goers. This increased train services will aid movement of small traders, agricultural produce and daily goods, thereby stimulating local economies and markets. The frequency of train no. 55662/55661 (Silchar – Maishashan - Silchar) passengers which were previously used to run only two days a week, will now run six days in a week (except Friday) in both directions from July, 28 from their respective directions. Similarly, the frequency of train no. 55686/55685 (Silchar – Maishashan - Silchar) passengers which were previously used to run only two days a week, will now run six days in a week (except Sunday) in both directions from July 28 from their respective directions.
