Tripura CM Orders Tight Vigilance on Pakistani Nationals

Agartala:Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has instructed all district Superintendents of Police (SPs) to consistently share intelligence regarding the presence of any Pakistani nationals within the state with his office. The directive was issued during a high-level video conference held at the State Secretariat, aimed at reviewing law and order, developmental progress, and the state's preparedness for the approaching storm season.Alongside the SPs, District Magistrates (DMs) were also urged to maintain heightened vigilance and promptly inform the administration if any related concerns arise. Dr. Saha, who also serves as Tripura’s Home Minister, emphasized the need for proactive measures to ensure the safety and security of the state.Senior secretaries from various departments attended the meeting, where multiple key areas were discussed. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of ensuring uninterrupted power supply during storms and instructed departmental leaders to swiftly address any existing gaps in the system.In addition to law enforcement and disaster preparedness, Dr. Saha highlighted the urgent need to combat cybercrime. He recommended that regular press briefings be conducted to raise public awareness about cyber threats and educate citizens on preventive measures.During the session, DMs and SPs presented detailed updates on their respective districts, covering issues related to health services, availability of drinking water, education, road conditions, and irrigation facilities. Their reports outlined the measures currently underway to tackle these challenges and improve service delivery across Tripura.The meeting concluded with a call for greater coordination among departments to ensure the timely implementation of projects and a responsive approach to emerging challenges. Dr. Saha reaffirmed the government's commitment to maintaining strict law and order, safeguarding public resources, and enhancing citizen welfare through focused governance.With these directives, Tripura’s administration aims to bolster both internal security and disaster resilience as the state navigates the upcoming storm season.
