New Delhi: In the wake of the Bengaluru Stampede, wherein 11 people lost their lives while at least 50 more were injured, the BCCI has begun jotting down strict guidelines to avoid a repeat of the fiasco. Initially, the BCCI had distanced itself from the Bengaluru stampede incident after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won their maiden title but innocent lives were lost in the midst of the trophy parade. However, the apex board has formulated a three-member committee which will put together strict guidelines so that a repeat of the episode that unfolded in Bengaluru can be avoided.Speaking to India Today, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated that the board is taking the matter with utmost seriousness and they will take every aspect into consideration to avoid a similar mishap again. The apex board faced severe criticism from all quarters after RCB's victory parade turned deadly.According to the report, BCCI has decided that no team will be allowed to hold victory parade within 3-4 days of winning the title. There will be properly planning and logistics testing before things go south in any future celebrations. It will be made mandatory for all teams to seek permission from BCCI to host victory parade, after a clear gap of communication was visible between the apex board and the RCB management. Tier 4 to tier 5 security protocols are likely to be followed for future events. The team's movement from the airport to the venue will be fully secured, with multiple layers of planning involved to make sure no issues come up during transit.Any future trophy celebrations will be held only after getting green light from district police, state government and further local authorities to ensure a smooth conduct of the parade. Initially the Bengaluru police had reportedly deleted their tweet regarding cancellation of the RCB victory parade due to traffic congestion in the city.It was reported that over two lakh people turned up to celebrate RCB's maiden title win which far more than the stadium's capacity. Due to the poor planning and lack of coordination 11 innocents ended up losing their lives.
