Tripura Govt Working on Comprehensive Transfer Policy

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday announced that the state government is formulating a comprehensive transfer policy aimed at ensuring fair and transparent postings for its over 1 lakh government employees. Speaking at the inauguration of a new building at Madhupur Higher Secondary School in Sepahijala district, Saha said the policy will ensure equitable distribution of staff across the state, with special provisions for exceptional cases. “The government is working on a comprehensive transfer policy for government employees to ensure equitable distribution of postings, and provisions will be made to accommodate special cases where necessary,” he stated. He further emphasized that no government employee will be allowed to remain in the same posting for an extended period, highlighting the current administration’s commitment to transparency and clarity in governance. Saha also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of inclusive growth, noting that under Modi's leadership, neglected areas across the country have seen accelerated development since 2014. Turning to education, the Chief Minister reiterated that both the state and central governments are giving priority to improving educational infrastructure and quality. “Today, as we inaugurate this new school building in Madhupur, similar projects are underway across the state. Teaching methods are being modernized, and teacher training programmes are being implemented to raise academic standards,” he said. The event marked not just an infrastructural milestone but also reinforced the government’s broader commitment to reform in administration and education.
