ARPB branch inaugurated in Pakke-kessang
Biswanath Chariali: In a significant development, the Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank (APRB) branch was formally inaugurated at Lemmi today bringing much-needed banking services to the residents of Pakke-Kessang District of Arunachal Pradesh. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the minister for Health & Family Welfare and Water Resources Department, Biyuram Wahge, who is also the MLA of the district. Other dignitaries present at the event included Deputy Commissioner Bani Lego, S.P Tasi Darang, ZPMs Sunil Nabam,Tana Naya, Nabro Natung SCM, and HODs of concerned departments. The new banking facility is expected to bring immense relief to residents who earlier had to travel long distances for basic financial services. Minister Biyuram Wahge highlighted that the bank will serve as a cornerstone for financial inclusion, enabling locals to access banking services right within their own district. In a symbolic gesture, Biyuram Wahge himself opened an account at the new branch. The response from the public was overwhelming, with over 300 bank accounts opened on the very first day. This marks a significant step toward strengthening rural banking and empowering the people of Pakke-Kessang. The inauguration of the APRB branch is a welcome development for the district, and it is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy and residents' lives.
