Bajali Agro FPC Gets ₹6 Lakh Nabkisan Credit to Boost Assam Agribusiness
Bajali: In a major boost to rural agribusiness and farmer empowerment in Assam, Bajali Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited (FPC), based in Bajali district, has secured a credit facility of ₹6,00,000 from Nabkisan Finance Limited, a subsidiary of NABARD. The sanction was approved on May 31, 2025, under the Credit Guarantee Fund supported by NabSanrakshan. The financial assistance will be utilised for Agri Input trading and other agricultural trading activities aimed at strengthening the value chain for local farmers. The initiative falls under the Central Sector Scheme of Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs, where NABARD Assam Regional Office is the Implementing Agency, and Access Development Services is serving as the Cluster-Based Business Organisation (CBBO). Access Development Services, the CBBO, played a vital role throughout the entire credit facilitation process—providing consistent handholding support, coordinating documentation, and guiding the FPC through the verification and sanction stages. The credit support under the Credit Guarantee Fund by NabSanrakshan is expected to enhance the working capital capacity of the FPC, enabling timely procurement and supply of quality inputs to farmers and fostering sustainable rural livelihoods. This development stands as a testament to the growing ecosystem of Farmer Producer Organisations in Assam and the crucial support extended by NABARD, CBBOs, and allied financial institutions in driving grassroots-level agribusiness growth.
