Jadav Goswami Jatiya Vidyalaya Marks Silver Jubilee with Grand Celebrations and Cultural Festivities

Guwahati: Jadav Goswami Jatiya Vidyalay, a prominent institution known for its contribution to national education, celebrated its Silver Jubilee from April 18 to 20, marking 25 years of academic excellence. The three-day celebration featured various events, with alumni, dignitaries, and students participating in commemorating the school’s legacy.The festivities began on April 18 with a flag-hoisting ceremony, where 25 flags were raised to mark the significant milestone. Professor Khagen Goswami, President of the Celebration Committee, along with several eminent personalities from various fields, were present for the occasion. Following this, heartfelt tributes were paid to the late founding members of the school, as well as to all those who have contributed to the nation’s progress. The opening day also witnessed a grand procession, which was inaugurated by popular actor Jyoti Bhuyan. Students from nearby schools joined in the celebration, making it a community-wide event.The second day, April 19, was dedicated to the school’s alumni. During the Alumni Conference, distinguished former students shared their experiences and success stories with the current batch of students. These alumni, who have excelled in various fields, reflected on their journey and the role the school played in shaping their futures. In the evening, a vibrant cultural program was organized by the students, showcasing their talents in dance, music, and drama.The final day of the celebrations, featured a grand main meeting moderated by school teacher Ripankar Shaikia and alumna Subhashree Barik. Notable guests included Narayan Sharma, Secretary of Assam Jatiya Vidyalaya Education Council, Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharya, Chief Advisor of AASU, Hemant Vijay Mahanta, Retd Commissioner of Taxes (Government of India), Dr. Kishore Singh Rajput, Principal of Chaiduar College, and other distinguished personalities.The cultural program on the last day was inaugurated by renowned folk singer Baby Bhuyan, and also featured performances by Pahari Saikia and Montumoni Saikia. The Silver Jubilee celebrations were a resounding success, with the school’s rich heritage of academic achievement and community involvement on full display.
