New executive body of Nagaon Lions Club takes charge of office
Nagaon: The new executive body of Nagaon Lions Club for the session 2025-26 took charge from the outgoing body at a function held on Sunday last here. The outgoing president, Ajay Mittal, handed over the charge to the new president, Jiten Agarwal. The function was attended by former District Governor Balaram Singh Rathore, who administered the oath of office to the new president and other members of the executive committee. The new committee includes Jiten Agarwal as president, Maharshi Vishal Bordoloi as secretary and Madan Saha as Treasurer. During the ceremony, outgoing President Ajay Mittal presented a report on the club's activities and achievements during the previous year. He also felicitated several Lions members who had excelled in their work, including Ganga Ballabh Goswami, Jugal Agarwal, Debendra Singh Chehemie, Biswajit Mahanta, Gurucharan Singh, Surendra Karwa, Binod Khatawat Bakul Bora, Nanu Das, Hardarshan Singh, Amon Saha, Inamul Majid, Dhiraj Bordoloi, Mahabir Agarwal and others. During the event, the Club also presented an award posthumously in memory of late Pralay Kumar Saha, a former President of the club who passed away a few months ago, to his wife, Monika Saha. The event was attended by several dignitaries and guests, who praised the club's social service initiatives and community work. The new executive committee is expected to continue the club's tradition of service and community development, a press note added here.
