Telahi Kamalabaria Sahitya Sabha launches lecture series

North Lakhimpur: 'Telahi Kamalabaria Anchalik Sakha Sahitya Sabha', an active branch literary body of Asom Sahitya Sabha, launched a special programme of lecture series on Saturday. The first event of the lecture series, titled as Boktritamala-1, was held at PMShree Angarkhowa Chariali Higher Secondary School. In connection, Subject Teacher of ADK Higher Secondary School, Leela Saikia delivered a lecture on "Books and Stimulation" by explaining analytically how books can be a source of inspiration and courage for students with various examples. The event was chaired by Nila Chutia, the president of the branch literary body. In the same event, 'Jeevanar Dabi', a collection of three selected plays by Makhan Chandra Saikia, was released by Khirod Chandra Gogoi, the principal of the school. The branch literary body donated bundles of invaluable books to the school library. The event was attended by Indira Gandhi Higher Secondary School principal Pranab Bujarbarua, Sahitya Sabha office bearers Syed Ahidur Rahman, Prasant Kumar Nath, Haren Hazarika, Rima Barthakur, Gunakanta Koch, teachers and students of the school.
